Dr. Yeltay Rakhmanov is a graduate of West Kazakhstan Medical University and holds a PhD in Sports Medicine from Central China Normal University, China. He also earned a Master’s degree in Medicine and Surgery, as well as a Master’s degree in Adaptive and Preventive Physical Culture from the University of Verona and the University of L’Aquila, Italy. He is a licensed medical practitioner in Italy with continuous international experience in biomedical research and higher medical education. At Nazarbayev University, he serves as Co-Director of the Master of Science Program in Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation and teaches courses in Biomechanics and Injury Management and Rehabilitation. His professional and research interests include biomechanics of adaptive physical activity, community-based health promotion and rehabilitation, injury rehabilitation solutions for people living in remote areas of Central Asia, tele-fitness, tele-rehabilitation, sports talent identification, and socially oriented physical culture.
