Prof. Sayat Ibrayev

Joldasbekov Institute of Mechanics and Engineering, Kazakhstan

Professor Sayat Ibrayev graduated with honors from the Republican School of Physics and Mathematics in Almaty in 1983. He received his diploma from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Lomonosov Moscow State University in 1988 and earned his master’s degree and PhD from the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR in 1992. In 1996, he obtained the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences. Since 1991, he has been working at the Institute of Mechanics and Engineering of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan, where he served as researcher, senior researcher, and chief researcher. He also worked in Germany at Technical University Chemnitz and Fraunhofer IWU with the support of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. From 2001 to 2010, he was Professor and Head of the Department of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics at Satbayev University. Currently, he is Chief Researcher and Head of the Laboratory of Mechanics of Robots and Manipulators at the Joldasbekov Institute of Mechanics and Engineering in Almaty. He is the author of 140 scientific publications, including 5 monographs, 10 patents, and a popular science book. Under his supervision, 5 Candidates of Sciences and 1 PhD have been successfully defended.
