Our team

Kassymbek Ozhikenov is a Candidate of Technical Sciences, Professor, and Head of the Department of Robotics and Technical Means of Automation at the Institute of Automation and Information Technologies. He has extensive experience in robotics, automation, mechanical engineering, and educational program development. His professional background includes positions as engineer, software engineer, senior engineer, researcher, and department head in leading academic and research institutions of Kazakhstan. Since 2013, he has been serving as Head of Department at Satbayev University.

He is the author of more than 200 publications, including 61 papers in international journals indexed in WoS and Scopus, 33 patents and author’s certificates, 9 monographs, 9 teaching manuals, and 1 textbook in Kazakh. He has supervised numerous scientific projects, including commercialization projects supported by the Science Fund, and has graduated 5 PhD holders. His research and academic interests include industrial robotics, robotics and mechatronics, biomedical engineering, automation systems, and engineering education.
