AI-CPath: Clinical-Grade AI Pathology to Enhance Cancer Detection, Risk Stratification, and Prognosis

Building on CEMRR’s AI and biomedical engineering capabilities and its clinical partnerships, we plan to advance AI-CPath—a clinical-grade AI pathology initiative designed to enhance cancer detection, risk stratification, and prognosis. The project will combine curated digital pathology datasets, expert-led annotation workflows, and interpretable, validation-focused models that can recognize clinically meaningful tissue patterns and quantify risk signals beyond routine visual review. By aligning model outputs with real clinical endpoints and integrating the platform into partner-hospital research pipelines, AI-CPath aims to support faster screening, more consistent reporting, and stronger evidence for precision oncology decision-making in Kazakhstan.
